The man returned to the bedroom and sat on the bed eating his sandwich. The woman was finishing her shower and she wrapped a towel around her body and went to the mirror. The mirror was fogged up from the steam in the room. She wiped the mirror with her hand in a big circle. She opened a drawer and got out her toothpaste and turned the faucet on. She reached over and grabbed her toothbrush, then ran it under the cold water. She looked up and the mirror was foggy again. So she wiped it once again. And when she looked into the mirror her husband was right behind her holding a long butcher knife in his hand. She jokingly said, "What are going do? Cut me up and eat me too!" He smiled and said, "No, not exactly." She laughed and began brushing her teeth. He turned off the light. She spoke in Spanish, " dé vuelta a la luz detrás encendido!" which means (Turn the light back on). He didn't turn it on. She screamed in English, "Stop fucking around!” I heard a loud thump then silence.

I woke up

Two weeks later I was watching the news. There was a family found dead in their home. I was interested in the story because it was in the area where I live. The reporter announced that a man had killed his children and then his wife. Tune in tonight for more news coverage.

I was eager to find out what happened. I waited and the news came back with an update on the matter. The reporter had added more to the story. He said that the man had butchered his family then put them in a deep freezer. None of the neighbors could recall seeing the wife or the children for several days. One of them said on camera that the accused Hispanic man told him that his wife and children were in Mexico visiting their grandparents, and would not return for a month. The neighbor said he believed him and had no reason to doubt his story.

The family was discovered by a policeman was called to come out to the house and perform a well being check. When the police got to the house they questioned the man. They asked him where his wife and children are. He told the police that they were all in Mexico visiting family. The policeman asked if he could call them and verify that. The man said he didn't know where the phone number was, and when he found it, he would contact them and then they could verify his story.
