One day when I was 21 I went to the beach with my 2 year old daughter. It was a nice hot day and we had a nice time making sand castles and collecting seashells. There was a good amount of people at the beach. Many families were swimming and flying kites. I sat on my blanket near the water watching my daughter construct soft sand kingdoms.

As I sat watching her a man came up to me. He was a poor looking man. He had raged jeans and a faded shirt. I looked at him and he kneeled in the sand and spoke to me. He said," Go and marry the man you live with. Repent and sin no more. Make right your household, my sister" That certainly was not what I expected him to say. "Whoa, who is this guy?" I thought . Curiously I asked him, "Who are you?" He replied, " I am an Evangelist." I looked at his face, covering my brow with my hand to block the sun.

His eyes were very blue. Bluer than the Ocean, bluer than the Sky. His hair was stringy and dishwater blonde. He gave me chills when he spoke those words. "How could he know that I am not married, because I am wearing a wedding band?" I combed over in my mind. He went on and said "The time could be now or later." He told me to be ready for the end. The sign of the times is all around us." His words were like a sword into my soul. I trembled in fear of being a sinner. Yet, I still could not understand why he was talking to me.

There were many people around. Why did he pick me? So, I asked him, " Why do you tell me these things?" The man replied and said, " I am here to save you. To show you salvation has a door. " I looked at him puzzled. " But why me?" still trying to figure out how he could know my sins. He spoke and glowed like fire when he said, "Go and marry the man that lives in your house. Then make right all with the Lord Jesus" I asked him , " What if I am Jewish? Does that mean I can't be saved?" He looked at me and smiled and touched my arm softly saying, "It's not what you were that counts, It's what you will become. "
