    He Lit A Fire
    October 21st, 2004

I was at my home when my ex came over for a surprise visit.
He was in a good mood and tried to get me to talk to him
He showed me that he was a changed person, he convinced me with his talking
He asked me to go for a ride in his SUV, and I did.
We went to a home that looked abandoned, yet it felt like home.
We talked a lot for hours and ate some food then fell asleep
We woke up he said that I had agreed to take him back
I was speechless and couldn't seem to say anything to make him
realize that I didn't want that.
So we drove to another home to pick up our children
He told my children that we were getting back together
The children were not happy about it,
each of them giving me a look of sadness.
So I realized I had to speak up, I had to make him realize
that I didn't want to be with him anymore.
All of us, the children, him and I went to visit a man.
The odd part was, this man was my lover, and I don't have a lover.
He talked to him and told him that he was now with me again
The man, my lover, was very upset, they argued and my children went
outside and waited in the SUV. I got inside and waited.
My ex came out and went to get into the SUV.
The man, my lover, came out and told me,
if you want you can get out now and be with me.
So I looked behind me and my kids are in the back seat.
I told them I was sorry, I didn't want to be with their father.
All of them told me to go, to run and get out of the SUV
So I did and I ran to that man. He drove me to my home.
When we got there the man, my lover lit a fire in the fireplace.
We sat there and discussed what had happened.
My ex came with the kids and didn't come into the home.
He yelled out to me from the outside. My lover ran out and
got into my ex's face. They fist fought and my lover beat him up.
    My ex never came back.

    I woke up bleeding.
