The Television News Reporter said that a giant earthquake had just hit the coast of California. The earthquake was centered just near Santa Catalina Island. The television went to snow and white sound. I could hear the neighbors scurrying. I looked out my door and saw that people were running around yelling and crying. I heard a crashing sound very loud and thrashing to my ears.
A Great wave had hit the coast of Southern California. Swallowing all that was in its path. I heard taunting screams then a silence. The light of day was dimmed by the shadow of the great wave. I looked to my right and saw a great body of water coming. The largest amount of water I had ever seen other then the Ocean .As the wave came my direction; it took everything along with it. Houses and cars were spinning around in its belly like a washing machine. A man to my left cried out, "Look! It's about a minute away!" I prayed for my life. "Oh God, have mercy on my soul!" I chanted over and over out loud. I was preparing to die. The worst kind of fear you could imagine, due to the fact that I had to anticipate this event beforehand.
