Lord of my life
shelter me, feed me.
Clothe my skin, warm my face.
Ease my sorrow ease my pain.

My tears fell to the sand
creating a river, hollowing the land.
I knew early what I had to endure
tragedies, atrocities, diseases with no cure.

I know that there is more then time
there is more than this rhyme.
How far till I reach this plain,
a land of no blame.

You gave me gifts worth much more then gold or silver
insight, understanding, wisdom, the ability to forgive.
I need no proof of your existence.
I dare not test you, to believe is forever.

Faith is a gift you gave to me that has never failed.
I'm thankful for everything, the good and the bad.
I still have life; I live in your grace.
Your spirit surrounds me in every place.

When I was lost you found me.
When I was unloved you loved me.
When I thirsted, you gave me water.
When I failed, you pulled me up.

Lord, I love you.
Though I am a bastard and an unwanted child,
You raised me up and wiped my tears.
You've kept me alive for all these years.

I believe your blood has washed me clean.
Thank you for delivering me.
